Verne highly recommends that you read the first book before you embark on this latest one, Scaling Up: How a Few Companies Make It...and Why the Rest Don't. In doing so, this will help you to minimize the learning curve of the material contained in the book. It’s power-packed with a wealth of information as to how companies such as Starbucks and Apple were able to scale up their companies. Verne offers case studies, charts, plans, and principles that companies have created within their companies to obtain their desired outcome.
