O heavenly Father, from every real evil; confer upon us every needful good. May all events confpire to the improvement and establishment of our virtue, and may we be conducted, by thine unerring hand, through all the changes of this mortal life; and finally be admitted to the everlasting habitations of the juft, which thou hast promised to thy faithful fervants by Jefus Christ our Lord. Amen.

For all Mankind.

ALMIGHTY and everliving God, who haft taught us to offer up prayers, fupplications,and interceffions for all men, we beféech thee to extend thy favour and mercy to all mankind. May all the families of the earth be brought to the knowledge and pure worship of thee, the only true God; enlarge the kingdom of our Lord Jefus Chrift, that kingdom of truth and righteousness which fhall never be deftroyed; put an end to all idolatry, fuperftition, and false

religion;

religion; may pure and uncorrupted christianity prevail; may all who profess the faith of Christ be fhining examples of goodness; may the spirit of persecution for ever cease; and may truth and righteousness, peace and charity, every where abound, to the glory of thy holy name. Amen.

For our Native Country.

O LORD God, who doft from thy throne

behold all the nations of the earth! we humbly beseech thee in behalf of this our native country. Pardon our national fins, and avert from us the judgments we have deferved. May it please thee to bless us with healthful times and fruitful seasons; crown the year with thy goodness; difpofe us all to a grateful and temperate enjoyment of the bounties of thy providence; and may we fhew forth thy praise in all our actions, and be hereafter admitted into thy heavenly and everlasting kingdom. Amen.

For the King and Royal Family. ALMIGHTY God, by whom Kings rule and Princes decree justice, we beseech thee to vifit with thy bleffing thy fervant GEORGE Our King, the Queen, the Prince of Wales, and all the Royal Family; may they diligently cultivate all those virtues which will render them ornaments of their high ftations, true difciples of the Prince of Peace, and extenfive bleffings to their country and mankind. O GOD of infinite wisdom, prefide, we intreat thee, in the great council of the nation, at this time in Parliament affembled; direct and prosper all their confultations, to the advancement of thy glory, the good of thy church, the safety, honour, and welfare of our Sovereign and his kingdoms; and may all things be fo ordered by their

MAY it please thee to bless our judges

and magistrates, and all those who are entrufted with the administration of our public affairs. May they employ their authority and power in wisdom and justice, in righteousness and clemency, and hereby promote the virtue, peace, and liberty of our country. Amen.

For the Minifters of Religion.

GOD, the Father of lights, and fountain of all good, endue the Ministers of Religion of every denomination, and in every part of the world, with the spirit and temof their Lord and Master Jesus Christ. May they diligently pursue the good work

of inftructing the ignorant, and reforming the vicious; and in all the duties of their office may they conduct themselves, not as having dominion over the faith of the people, but as examples to their flocks; and, by the excellency of their doctrines, and the holiness of their lives, may they advance thy glory, and the best interest and happiness of mankind. Amen.

For those who are in Affliction.

MOST gracious God, our heavenly Father, who art the author and giver of all confolation, we humbly recommend to thy providential care all who are in affliction and diftrefs. Be thou, in thy great mercy, a father to the fatherless, and the defender of the widow; provide for the poor; give ease to those who are in pain, deliver those who are oppreffed, and comfort those who mourn; fupport thy faithful fervants who are in bonds, or in any manner perfecuted for the fake of religion; give them fortitude
