4WD Trails: North-Central Colorado

The 4WD Trails books are a series of inexpensive scenic driving guides that include the trail information for selected regions included in the comprehensive 4WD Adventures series. This North Central Colorado book includes ratings and descriptive write-ups to 28 incredibly scenic backcountry trails in the vicinity of Dillon, Breckenridge, Central City, Aspen, Leadville, Vail, and Georgetown. Skill levels range from easy to challenging. Included are numerous current and historical photographs and step-by-step directions for each trail. Every trail includes a two-color map, ratings for degree-of-difficulty and scenic beauty, driving time, overall and point-to-point distances, and GPS coordinates. Write-ups include brief histories of the trails, colorful characters, events, ghost towns, and mining operations in the area.
