ed of God in a dream that they fhould
not return to Herod, they departed into
their own country another way.

ND when the [wife men] were departed, behold the Angel of the Lord appeareth to Jofeph in a dream, faying, Arife, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will feek the young child to de14. ftroy him. Slaughter of the Infants at Bethlehem, Bethlehem.

Hen Herod when he faw that he was 16.
mocked of the wife men, was ex-
ceeding wrath, and fent forth, and flew
all the children that were in Bethlehem,
and in all the coafts thereof from two
years old and under, according to the
time which he had diligently enquired of
the wife men. Then was fulfilled that 17.
which was spoken by Jeremy the Prophet,
[xxxi. 15.] faying, In Rama was there a 18.
voice heard, lamentation, and weeping,
and great mourning, Rachel weeping for
ber children and would not be comfort-
ed because they are not.

SECT. XIII.

Return of Jofeph from Egypt. Galilee

UT when Herod was dead, behold, 19. an Angel of the Lord appeareth in a dream to Jofeph in Egypt, faying, Arife, 20. and take the young child and his mother and go into the Land of Ifrael, for they are dead which fought the young child's life. And he arofe, and took the younga. C 2 child
