all evil.-Ps. 121, 7. 1 O
HOLY Father! let my song 1
Like evening incense rise;
To reach the lofty skies.
Thy hand was still my guard ;
Thy mercy stood prepared.
Encompass me around,
Hath my Creator found!
To save my wretched soul?
Fast as my minutes roll!
To Thy dear cross I fee :
And to Thy grace my soul resign,
To be renewed by Thee. 6 Sprinkled afresh with pardoning blood,
I lay me down to rest, Watched over by my loving God, And on my Saviour's breast.

Depart not Thou, great God, away: Nor let my sins-a deeper night-
Obscure the lustre of 'Í'hy Light.
Over my slumbers sentry keep,
Awake unto some holy thought; And my glad soul, once more set free,
Rejoice, that she is still with Thee. 4 Sleep is a death; O make me try
By sleeping what it is to die;
Within my grave as on my bed. 921

To hide Thee from Thy servant's eyes. 2 When with dear friends sweet talk I

Except in all I Thee discern.
My wearied eyelids gently steep,
For ever on my Saviour's breast!
For without Thee I cannot live:
