Samuel T. Armstrong published three volumes of Emmons's sermons from 1812 to 1815. Vol. 3, the second to be published, was preceded in 1812 by v. 2, "Sermons, on various important subjects of Christian doctrine and practice" (Shaw 25344), and followed in 1815 by v. 1, "Sermons on some of the first principles and doctrines of true religion" (Shaw 34642)
